Renowned British brand Orlebar Brown (OB) invites you on a journey back in time with its Spring/Summer 2025 collection, a tribute to the creative effervescence of Palm Springs in the 1970s. An eclectic mix of art, music and carefree poolside moments, this collection embodies the casual elegance and timeless sophistication of a bygone era, while adding a contemporary and enduring touch.
Inspired by the 70s
Orlebar Brown’s new collection is inspired by an iconic photograph of Bryan Ferry, captured in 1978, of him resting against palm tree wallpaper, wearing an elegant cookie linen suit. This image, symbolic of the fashion and charm of the 70s, serves as the starting point for a series of creations combining modernity and reminiscences of the past.
The colors and visual universe of renowned artist David Hockney also add a unique dimension to this collection, which blends vivid shades of blues, greens and oranges, accompanied by refined touches of floral and geometric colors. A perfect balance between classic and bold.
Vibrant patterns and colors
At the heart of the collection, elegant geometric prints and refined floral motifs dominate the pieces. Piscina, the season’s flagship motif, comes in a dynamic palette of blue, orange and green, capturing the essence of poolside living in Palm Springs. Classic stripes, ever present in spring, are vibrantly reinterpreted, offering new terrycloth shirts and shorts, perfect for sunny days.
The focus is on light, luxurious fabrics such as silk and Italian linen, which are paired with loose-fitting pants for an elegant yet relaxed silhouette. Flagship colors this season include a soothing Agave Green, an elegant Damson, as well as vibrant tones such as Calypso orange, Caddie green, Khaki and California blue.
