Geneva's finest Indian restaurant, Rasoi by Vineet at the Mandarin Oriental, Geneva is a legend on the culinary scene in this Swiss city. Acclaimed chef Vineet Bhatia is a specialist in imaginative Indian cuisine, adding a modern touch to traditional recipes. With its warm, inviting décor, which marries Indian shades of red and violet with sheets of silver embedded in rare wood, the restaurant offers an enchanting and luxurious ambiance with a touch of Indian charm. At the entrance of to Rasoi by Vineet, an updated version of a traditional tandoori oven in polished granite creates the visual centerpiece for the room. Visible from the reception area, it captures the eye of all diners. The daily homemade "naan bread" is every bit as delicious as the delicate Indian flavors and textures so masterfully blended to create unique and savory meals. During the summer, the restaurant expands onto a beautiful terrace with a spectacular view of the River Rhône.

Rooftop°42 offers a unique setting with a minimal, contemporary style, located on the top floor of an office building with a magical view of the large fountain in Lake Geneva. The venue is like a chameleon, changing its look to appeal to a varied clientele and reinventing its ambiance throughout the day. Our chef has created a menu that is intentionally limited and seasonal, imbibed with Mediterranean flavors. For lunch, choose from his daily specials or the famous Burger 42. On the other hand, for dinner, he invites epicures to be surprised by his updated recipes, accompanied by regional wines as well as great vintages. Entertainment is also on the menu during dinner and throughout the evening. Wednesday through Saturday, from 10pm to 2am, DJs from around the globe create a club atmosphere with dance music for an exhilarating soiree.

The interior design of this restaurant is a perfect blend of old and new. You'll also find a blend of the flavors and simplicity that define good French bistro cuisine, carefully prepared with fresh products that are simply delicious, such as sliced rumsteak dry-aged for five weeks and served rare. The Chef Tom Morand has subtly crafted a menu that includes freshly prepared, gourmet dishes. His passion is transmitted through his cooking, with a mix of pleasure, love, and rigor, with this little tactic always in mind: “The key is to start with a good cut, whether it be for meat, fish, or vegetables. That's the secret of good cooking, or even to make the perfect salad.” The sommelier The wine list is composed by Grégory, an expert oenologist, and features a nice selection of Swiss wines, primarily from the Geneva region, as well as from wonderful French vineyards. Nestled on a hillside above Geneva, in a garden setting where the azure of the pool and the green of the vegetation create a relaxing ambiance, the Poolside restaurant is open from May thru September. Push open the white entry gate to discover a secret oasis where delicate and subtle aromas fill the air. In the shade of white canvas parasols, comfortable chaise lounges are the perfect place to do absolutely nothing. And the restaurant is located just a few steps away on an adjoining terrace when lunchtime rolls around. Poolside invites its guests into a chic and tranquil atmosphere where lunch is served by the water's edge. The wood and white furniture evokes a nautical décor while the simplicity of the table settings lends itself to the sharing of a convivial meal. As the sun sets in the evening, the poolside venue is illuminated, adding another set of colors and a new ambiance. The lounge comes alive with the precise movements of the bartenders who bring to life a cocktail menu full of surprises. To complete the day on a gourmet note, the lounge also offers the possibility of a light dinner with an assortment of finger foods and Asian delicacies. The Chef Guillaume Bourdillon earned his diploma at the hotel high school in Macon at the age of 17 and went on to his first professional experience at the InterContinental in Frankfurt, Germany. Working in large-scale event management, he learned the skills of the trade and the qualities expected in a 5-star hotel. The InterContinental gave him the chance to work in London, where he worked in the hotel's gourmet restaurant and discovered the world of starred establishments. He continued his career path with various challenges in France and Switzerland, such as the opening of the Hotel du Midi in Delémont. He worked with chef Delacourt, a “meilleur ouvrier de France” at the Domaine de Divonne, before moving to the InterContinental Geneva in 1996. He moved up through the ranks: banquet chef, associate chef, before being named as executive chef, a position he has held for the past three years. His philosophy? Feature recipes based on local, fresh, and seasonal ingredients. And it is not unusual to find accents of Il Lebanese or Indian cuisine on his menus...

The delicious Peruvian cuisine at Alma, a trendy new restaurant on Rue Blanvalet, is a wonderful culinary innovation. The menu, created by two former colleagues of Gaston Acurio, the celebrated chef at Astrid & Gaston in Lima, presents the best of South American flavors. There are expansive options from vegetarian empenadas and mussels garnished with tomato and coriander to red onions and Cuzco corn as hors d'oeuvres, followed by appetizer selections of fresh ceviche before moving on to a main course of beef filet, stir-fried wok vegetables and risotto seasoned with Aji Amarillo, fish or the day, or grilled octopus in anticuchera sauce. The ambiance is very friendly, and many of the dishes are perfect to share with friends. The interior design has an ethno-chic spirit, with luminous colors that invite you on a journey to far-away places. A lovely success story!

In March 2014, the first Denise's Art of Burger opened in the Globus Food Hall in Geneva. The concept pays homage to chef Philippe Chevrier's mother, whose first name is Denise. Her talent in the kitchen and her good taste served as inspiration for Chevrier. Today, chef Benjamin Garin has created a menu at Denise's that features a selection of burgers, hot dogs, and salads that change with the seasons. All made with only the best ingredients, there are a variety of burgers, from the classic Bacon and Cheese to Asian Chicken by way of Vegetarian, with something for all palates. As for the hot dogs, there are two choices available: the Dandy (7-grain bread, veal sausage, caramelized onions, cassis mustard) or the Farmer (cumin bread, pork sausage with cubes of Gruyere, tarragon mustard, baby lettuce, cucumbers in vinegar). American breakfast is also available as of 7:30am for those who like a hearty way to start the day.
